Larea Aim

The backbone of the Larea GT1 is formed from a tubular frame produced from high-performance GT750 and GT1000 chromium molybdenum steels. The passenger compartment is protected by a specially-developed carbon monocoque amongst other things, gives the Larea its enormous strength. In order to keep the vehicle weight below 1000 kg, carbon and materials such as high-performance aluminium alloys from aircraft construction are used for the remaining components.

Both the front wing, the diffuser, the entire underbody and many other components are baked from high-quality carbon. This means that a car seat weighs just 2.5 kg.

The high-quality, hand-made GRP/carbon body of the Larea GT1 was developed using computers and optimised in a wind tunnel. Here, form follows function.

The Larea GT1 is equipped with cutting-edge brake technology to keep the unsprung masses in the vehicle as low as possible and to thus achieve perfect road performance. We use Brembo or AP-racing brakes, or even full-carbon brakes, which not only save weight but also have an extremely long life, even when used for racing.

In order to fulfil today's environmental expectations, the consistent lightweight construction of the Larea GT1, in addition to outstanding driving properties, also provides fuel consumption that is at least 20 percent lower than today's sports cars with the same size engine made by other manufacturers.
